When going on vacation, there are always two types of people: those who pack a little at a time the days prior and those who pack just hours before their flight. So, we are here to help make it a little easier for all your Las Vegas vacation needs! By following our time honored list of essentials, you will be stress free and ready for relaxation just that much faster.

Sunscreen, Sun Hat, & Sunglasses:
When traveling to the Southwest, there are a few things that are essential to help you get through your vacation. Sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses are all things that will help keep you cool as the last month of summer rolls through the Las Vegas Valley. All these things are versatile and you can wear them to the pool, to shop up and down the Strip, as well as walking the Hoover Dam. Make sure that you bring an SPF 30 or higher to help protect against the hot desert sun, your skin will thank you!

Layers of Clothing:
During the last month of summer, temperatures tend to fluctuate regularly, going from 90+ degrees during the day to 70 degrees at night. With this in mind, it is always best to bring a light jacket to take with you if you plan on being out from day to night. It is also helpful when going in and out of the air conditioned casinos from the summer heat outside.

Water & Snacks:
One of the biggest mistakes that visitors to Las Vegas make is not drinking enough water. With this being Sin City, most guests drink a fair amount of alcohol which dehydrates you and that can have bad results in this summer heat. We want you to be able to enjoy yourself while visiting us, so make sure that you stock up on plenty of water and always take a bottle with you when you’re out and about. Whether you’re soaking up the sun at the pool or going to places like Zion, Grand Canyon, and Death Valley, water and healthy snacks like granola bars and pretzels will keep your energy going all day and help you get ready to experience the Vegas nightlife!

Chapstick & Lip Balm:
In Las Vegas, you constantly hear people refer to the weather as a “dry heat.” For people visiting from more humid climates, our dry weather tends to wreak havoc on the skin, especially their lips. One of the best accessories you could bring with you for your Vegas vacation, would be your favorite chapstick or lip balm to keep you feeling your best while you relax and explore.

Hiking Boots & Sandals:
Unlike what some believe, the Strip is not all Las Vegas has to offer! Between the amazing hikes out at Zion and Bryce Canyon and the local water parks, you have the perfect excuse to pack your hiking boots and your trusted flip flops to get you through your time here.

Camera & Cellphone:
With everyone so effortlessly connected due to smartphones, making your friends and family jealous is just a photo away! How could you not have your phone with you on this vacation? Being able to capture amazing memories from your time on the strip as well as the beautiful views at the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam, your phone is easily the next best tech to bring on any vacation.

Bathing Suit:
Is it really a vacation if you don’t get to lay by the pool at least once? Lucky for you, there is a whole Strip of options for pool days. Between the Mandalay Bay Pool lazy river, the rooftop pools at The Cosmopolitan, and even water slide that goes through an aquarium filled with sharks at the Golden Nugget, you will have plenty of options for unique pool lounging.

Backpack or Travel Purse:
“Where will I keep all these things you’re telling us to bring,” you ask? Look no further than a comfortable and decent size backpack of your choosing to help carry everything from your chapstick, water, and all the things you found on shopping excursions. You could even downsize to a smaller travel purse and make it easier to carry things when taking a backpack is inconvenient.

Casual & Dressy Clothing:
It’s hard to keep up with what type of outfits to pack with all the different places to eat and so many amazing shows to see. You may decide on a last minute dinner at a high end restaurant for date night when you only packed things like shorts and bathing suits. We are firm believers in being spontaneous when here in Las Vegas, so take a chance and pack for all options that way you are prepared no matter where the night takes you!

Photo ID:
A lot of places can be 21+ or require an ID to make reservations, so it is always a good idea to have your ID with you! Just slip it in your backpack or purse and you won’t have to worry about forgetting it.

Portable Charger:
With all the amazing sites to see, not to mention the amount of photos you take, it is really easy to wear down your phone battery. Portable chargers mean the world of a difference for getting that perfect shot of the Bellagio fountains or of the Thermometer at Death Valley. Don’t miss any of the great shots just because your phone ran out of juice!

Excitement:
The most important thing on this list is YOU! Bring your sense of adventure, excitement, and plenty of ideas to fill your time here with something new every day. And for all of your transportation and Limo Service needs while in Las Vegas call Las Vegas Sedan and Limo Service. We are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
